Job Summary

As a Feeder-Packer at Graphic Packaging International, you will play a vital role in the finishing process by feeding or packing folding cartons on a machine-fed line. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load cartons in the feeder of the folder/gluer
  • Provide training for new associates in the process
  • Inform glue operators of any problems occurring on the line
  • Assist with clearing jam-ups occurring on machine-fed lines
  • Consult job tickets for proper instructions prior to starting a new job/shift
  • Follow packing instructions for each job as documented on the job ticket
  • Capable of lifting 40 lbs
  • Backup other associates on machine-fed lines as needed to keep production going
  • Communicate instructions to other associates/shifts
  • Monitor case counts to assure quantities packed are correct
  • Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for continuous operation of the process
  • Follow all plant safety rules and maintain a safe working environment
  • Monitor the level of quality in the products being produced
  • Comply with the Consolidated Standards for Inspection – Food Contact Manufacturing Facilities following SQF Guidelines
Additional Responsibilities
  • Collect Statistical Process Control (SPC) data as required
  • Participate in Continuous Process Improvement Activities as required
