Seasonal Property Worker

We are seeking a Seasonal Property Worker to join our team at Indiana Dunes State Park. As a key member of our park staff, you will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining and upkeeping areas used by the general public.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality customer service at assigned property stations, including collecting revenue from fees and permits, and handling cash/credit transactions.
- Assist with maintaining and cleaning property buildings, grounds, and facilities, including regular deep cleaning of restrooms, showers, and other property buildings.
- Perform various duties based on property needs, including landscaping, mowing, firewood processing, structure maintenance, sign creation, trail upkeep, carpentry, and plumbing.
- Assist with administrative functions, including inventory, stocking, reporting, budgeting, and other tasks to support property staff.
- Monitor activities of visitors and report problems to property management or other authorities, enforcing regulations in a courteous but firm manner.
- May be expected to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- May be required to wear a DNR-provided uniform.
- May experience working directly with DOC work release crews.
- May be required to have a valid driver's license.
- May be required to travel to additional properties.
This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven-month continuous period.
