Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Vascular Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, utilizing various equipment to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ultrasound/sonography and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex sonography imaging by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accrediting bodies and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Select proper sonography protocols and techniques to obtain optimal data.
  • Review cases with the radiologist when appropriate.
  • Review patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity.
  • Take steps to acquire additional information if needed from the patient, ordering provider, and/or radiologist.
  • Demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment.
  • Review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
  • Transfer and verify image data in PACS and other digital and reporting systems.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in ultrasound/sonography.
  • Must know all preps for each Radiology and Vascular/U.S. exams and procedures.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated willingness to assess and improve work environment.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
Education and Certifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Ultrasound/Sonography or Radiologic Technology.
  • Certificate of completion of Ultrasound/Sonography or Radiologic Technology program.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.).
  • Registered Vascular Tech (RVT) through ARDMS.
  • RDMS Abdomen (AB) or RDMS Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) through ARDMS.

Nurse Hustle offers a competitive pay package based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. We are a full-service healthcare staffing agency specializing in the placement of experienced nursing and allied healthcare professionals on long and short-term contracts across the country.
