Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). As a Nurse Practitioner in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the MICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- New graduates of a nursing program eligible.
- For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
