Mechanic Apprentice

Job Summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a skilled Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our facility maintenance team, you will be responsible for promoting safety, repairing and maintaining mobile equipment, inspecting equipment and material, and performing general physical activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote safety and take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others throughout the operation.
• Repair and maintain mobile equipment to maximize performance and limit downtime.
• Inspect equipment and material to identify and troubleshoot errors.
• Perform general physical activities, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Additional vocational/trade school training in a mechanical field is preferred.
