RETTEW is on the lookout for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our expanding Municipal Team in the capacity of Engineer 2.
As a proactive and client-oriented Civil Engineer 2, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Municipal Team with various projects. These projects will encompass tasks such as subdivision planning, land development, and the preparation and review of stormwater management plans, alongside construction oversight and field investigations, as well as community planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engagement in municipal engineering tasks, which include subdivision planning, land development, and stormwater management plan preparation and review, along with construction oversight and community planning.
- Design responsibilities may involve creating plans for street, curb, and sidewalk reconstruction, stormwater management, municipal building sites, and recreational park designs.
- Assistance with grant applications, project planning, and funding research.
- Effectively presenting projects to clients and regulatory bodies.
- Participating in client interactions and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- EIT certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of experience in general municipal engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret municipal ordinances and regulations.
- Willingness to travel to job sites and attend meetings as required.
