Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cage Main Banker to join our team at Owensboro Racing & Gaming LLC. This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

  • This position involves distributing money to internal departments and performing various cashiering duties, including reconciling and verifying incoming and outgoing funds.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, safety rules, health regulations, and Owensboro Racing & Gaming Policy and Procedures guidelines.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of cage procedures in large-scale operations, including receiving and accurately verifying large amounts of money, preparing paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion, reconciling and balancing the main bank, maintaining accurate records, reconciling variances, and completing all tasks as appropriate.
  • Complete Multiple Transaction Logs (MTL), Negotiable Instrument Logs (NIL), Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) accurately. Count all money straps and record the date with initials/ID number on each strap. Rotate currency, ensuring that straps with the oldest dates are used first. Maintain strong knowledge of money handling, counting, and complex mathematical skills.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform drop, mutuels drop, replenish, and balance all ATM's and ticket kiosk machines.
  • Carry out kiosk drop and count procedures in accordance with department procedures and company regulations and departmental policies.
  • Transport kiosk cassettes.
  • Load and unload kiosks as required, including processing and generating tickets and reports.
  • Participate in cassette currency loading and sealing.
  • Sort and bag loose coins and bundles of paper money.
  • Request supervisor assistance when needed.

Standards of Performance:

  • Be available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in cash handling or relevant work experience is necessary.
  • Prior experience and a gaming background are preferred.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license is required.

Salary Information:

Our estimated salary for this role is $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.
