Job Summary:

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technician to join our team. As a key member of our adult echocardiography laboratory, you will be responsible for performing and processing echocardiographic examinations, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures. You will also assist with emergency procedures, transport equipment and patients, and analyze and file echocardiographic data using digital computer analysis systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and process echocardiographic examinations, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, transport equipment and patients.
  • Analyze and file echocardiographic data using digital computer analysis systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal training programs and technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
  • Participate in approved research activities.
  • Perform mobile Echo service as directed.

Requirements:
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire.
