Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer to join our team at NY CREATES. As a key member of our facilities engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining in-house facility drawings, including building floorplans and associated disciplines.

Your primary focus will be on implementing as-built/new work changes to master site facility drawings to ensure accuracy. You will also perform requested new CAD development on site, maintain and support an automated/manual Document File Retrieval System, and manage both Albany Nanotech Complex and tenant facility documents.

Effective communication with stakeholders is crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for sharing site information with approved stakeholders and performing construction drawing reviews to confirm NY CREATES document control standards are followed throughout development phases.

In addition, you will be responsible for transferring existing historic facility drawings into an electronic file format, implementing archival processes, and maintaining organized documentation for tool install packages.

Requirements
  • Associates Degree in CAD design or related field from a technical school, college, or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CAD trained individual in a facilities engineering organization.
  • Proficiency on Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication, organization, and conceptual skills.
  • Capable of working both individually and in a team environment on a variety of projects and tasks.
Preferred Requirements
  • Proficiency in Revit, Procore, and/or Bluebeam.
  • Having worked at a major semiconductor manufacturer or with a supplier to the semiconductor industry is preferred.
Additional Information

NY CREATES offers a competitive salary range of $28.85-$38.46/hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, flexible health spending and dependent care accounts, basic/optional life insurance, post-retirement health insurance, and an employer contribution of 7% of earnings to a basic retirement plan after meeting one year of service.

Offers of employment are contingent upon the employer being able to obtain the necessary authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, or other government agencies.
