Job Title: Registered Nurse I

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse I to join our team at Northern Light Health.

About the Role:

The Registered Nurse I is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective patient care by using best practices during hand-off communication and when reporting patient care information.
  • Perform and document systematic assessments according to established criteria, recognizing and responding to abnormal diagnostic data and reporting to appropriate providers.
  • Develop and maintain a professional and personable relationship with patients, families, and staff, treating patients with courtesy and respect.
  • Utilize theoretical knowledge base to operationalize care, demonstrating awareness of evidence-based practice and adhering to agency, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify resources to meet patient care needs, contributing to a healthy work environment by exhibiting professional behaviors and seeking assistance in addressing interpersonal conflicts.
  • Take responsibility for meeting education and mandatory programs, completing clinical evidence-based competencies, and maintaining an up-to-date personal educational file to demonstrate compliance with educational requirements.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and agency required auto liability insurance.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required prior to independent visits.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with a focus on patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.
Working Conditions:

The Registered Nurse I will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people, diseases or infections, hazardous materials, noxious odors, very hot or cold temperatures, and prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
