Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled ACLS Instructor to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a critical care educator, you will conduct training and education at the basic and advanced life support level, providing logistical support for on-site and off-site courses. You will also support EMS training center leadership through clerical and operational functions in addition to teaching courses.
Responsibilities
As an ACLS Instructor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting training and education at the basic and advanced life support level
- Providing logistical support for on-site and off-site courses
- Supporting EMS training center leadership through clerical and operational functions
- Maintaining EMS/Healthcare certification and BLS/ACLS Instructor certification
- Performing other duties and/or projects as assigned
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience as a provider
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year of instructor experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
You will need to possess:
- Registered Nurse with Critical Care Experience; or, Physician; or, Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Certification (MICP); or, Mobile Intensive Care Nurse Certification (MICN)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Provider and Instructor (American Heart Association CPR-BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification Provider and Instructor (American Heart Association ACLS)
