Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our Home Health team in California.

Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide direct patient care to members with communication and swallowing disorders. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, develop, and implement therapy/treatment programs to improve or restore communicative facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' communicative abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments.
  • Administer diagnostic tests and provide individualized treatment to adults and children with a variety of communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and neurological defects.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide in-service training to healthcare staff and supervise the development and treatment of Speech Pathology Assistants.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of speech therapy and attend professional seminars and workshops.
Requirements
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • One (1) year clinical experience in dysphasia management and Speech Pathology.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and utilize theories, principles, practices, techniques, and methods of Speech Therapy.
