Position Summary
We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to spearhead the design, execution, and oversight of technology solutions that bolster Ally's P2P and Supply Chain divisions.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess and enhance the performance of Software Development Managers and Developers in a collaborative environment.
This role entails accountability for project outcomes, resource management, budgeting, and ensuring the highest quality of deliverables.
You will collaborate with various technology partners to define strategic requirements and solutions across development, infrastructure, and testing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve significant business outcomes for the Procure-to-Pay Process transformation.
- Lead technology discussions with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations that inform technology-related decisions.
- Utilize deep technical expertise to create data products and insights related to Spend Management Solutions.
- Work closely with product teams and business lines to implement strategies that leverage Generative AI.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of technology professionals, ensuring timely performance evaluations and career development support.
- Define technology solutions that streamline business processes and minimize redundancy.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and external partners to ensure alignment and project success.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- 7-10+ years of expertise in Procure-to-Pay Process transformation and Supply Chain applications.
- Significant experience in regulated environments, particularly in financial services.
- A proven track record in leadership roles managing architecture and design of P2P technology solutions.
- Experience with Coupa P2P, Workday, and/or Ariba platforms, with specific knowledge in Accounts Payables and vendor risk management.
- The ability to proactively identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
