About the Role

The Certified Surgical Technologist is a key member of the operating room team, responsible for assisting with the care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room under the direct supervision of an operating room RN.

The Surgical Technologist has responsibility for the assembly, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures. Work situations are primarily routine but may change rapidly to an emergent or critical situation, and may require both directed and independent decision-making depending on the nature of the situation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the care and preparation of the surgical patient and the operating room
  • Assemble, set-up, and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment during surgical procedures
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process
  • Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Certified Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
  • National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
  • Active Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required prior to start date
  • Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Previous experience preferred
