POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Customer Care Representative – Regional Omnichannel plays a crucial role in managing customer interactions via voice and email. This position involves engaging with MSC's clientele, which includes Medium, Large, and Extra Large customers, as well as Field Sales Associates, to provide quotes, sales support, and service in alignment with MSC's Customer Care standards. Furthermore, Senior Representatives are tasked with mentoring and training fellow Regional Omnichannel Representatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to incoming sales and service inquiries through calls and emails to facilitate order processing, troubleshoot concerns, manage returns, collaborate with vendors for product sourcing, offer product suggestions, and deliver general web assistance, all while aiming to enhance sales through upselling techniques.
- Collaborates with Field Sales Associates to advocate for MSC's sales solutions, ensuring account retention and revenue growth.
- Maintains proficiency in all MSC processes and applications pertinent to the Customer Care Regional Omnichannel role.
- Utilizes various systems (including but not limited to the MSC website, AS400, WebSOE, Salesforce, Oceana & Vendor Websites) and works with other departments to identify and fulfill customer needs, both expressed and implied.
- Communicates customer feedback and provides recommendations to management to ensure effective resolution of issues.
- Stays informed about all Regional Omnichannel functions and resources to guide, train, and support team members while addressing customer requirements related to new functionalities.
- Builds and nurtures relationships with both internal and external customers to enhance satisfaction and improve sales and quoting opportunities.
- Takes initiative in resolving challenging customer service issues promptly.
- Meets or exceeds performance expectations related to quality, sales, quote conversion, upselling, and productivity metrics.
- Conducts thorough follow-ups using a ticket management system to ensure accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries.
- Promotes MSC's culture within the department and across the organization to support the fulfillment of MSC's vision and collective purpose.
- Engages in special projects and performs additional duties as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should have demonstrated success as a Customer Care Omnichannel Representative for at least six months, consistently meeting or exceeding quality standards.
SKILLS:
- Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
- Proven sales abilities are required.
- Familiarity with systems utilized in the Customer Care - Omnichannel role, such as AS400, Oceana, and the MSC website, is necessary.
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in standard business English, are required.
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish or French) are preferred.
- A general understanding of the industrial supply sector is advantageous.

COMPENSATION:
Starting compensation ranges from $16 to $24 per hour, depending on the candidate's location and experience. The salary range is based on similar roles in comparable industries and the local cost of labor. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, educational background, and peer pay equity. The company reserves the right to adjust the range as market conditions evolve.
