Job Overview

Pattern Energy Group is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and oversight for the development and construction of wind and solar farms across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical due diligence of wind, solar, and transmission projects during the development and construction phase.
  • Review construction documents for completeness and compliance with utility interconnect agreements, power purchase agreements, land lease agreements, environmental permits, and good industry practice.
  • Collaborate with Pattern's preconstruction and development groups to develop, solicit, and award construction services for various projects.
  • Negotiate and administer construction contracts with EPC contractors, construction management entities, equipment suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure division of responsibility is coordinated between various stakeholders, EPC contractor, and turbine supplier.
  • Execute the construction of projects, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule compliance.
  • Provide project interface with interconnect utility and ensure timely approval of design documents.
  • Manage Independent Engineer's and/or Owners Engineer's review of active construction projects.
Requirements
  • Eight or more years of progressive experience in the power industry with significant wind energy experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or construction management with a strong focus on electrical.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete multi-million dollar construction projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple issues on multiple projects under demanding schedule constraints.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering concepts, transmission and distribution equipment, and SCADA systems.
