We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our Anesthesiology department, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our inpatient acute pain service at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inpatient consultations and coordinate with interdisciplinary services and providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement customized individual analgesic regimens for complex patients with multiple co-morbidities.
- Collaborate with residents, students, and nurses to provide education and training on pain management techniques.
- Conduct patient assessments, complete physical examinations, and order medical laboratory tests as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments, and perform minor surgery as required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently. The ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions is essential.
