Job Summary

The Postpartum Manager RN Nights is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the postpartum unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with other departments and healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting, with a minimum of one year in a supervisory role.
  • Specialty certification in postpartum nursing or a related field, obtained within six months of hire.
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice, or compact licensure with the ability to obtain a Texas RN license within six months.
  • BLS certification, with ACLS preferred.
