About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at National Fleet Management. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles, including engine rebuilds, repairs, and conversions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with customers to evaluate tasks required
  • Prepare work plans after scoping out issues
  • Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results
  • Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
  • Repair or replace vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
  • Conduct field visits for emergencies or sudden breakdowns
  • Test drive repaired vehicles to gauge performance
  • Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
