Cytotechnologist Position

Lighthouse Lab Services is a leading provider of laboratory personnel, and we are currently working with a laboratory near Miami, FL, that is seeking a Cytotechnologist to join their team for laboratory testing.

We are looking for a highly skilled and certified Cytotechnologist to perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens, screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens, and ensure proper documentation of workload recording.

• Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for possible malignant or related abnormal conditions
• Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policies
• Ensure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelines
• Meet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedure
• Finalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely manner
• Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university
• Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program
• ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification

• Prior experience working in Cytology
• Thin Prep certification
• Automated and non-automated testing experience
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)
