Job Title: Calibration Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician I to join our team at Applied Industrial Technologies. As a Calibration Technician I, you will be responsible for performing calibrations, qualifications, and maintenance on a variety of instruments, including temperature and pressure devices, refrigerators, freezers, transmitters, monitors, incubators, centrifuges, autoclaves, pipettes, and balances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibrations and qualifications in a safe, timely, and accurate manner, following PCI and client-specific policies and procedures.
  • Complete basic pressure, temperature, humidity, time, and CO2 calibrations with guidance.
  • Handle PCI and client-owned equipment and test equipment with care.
  • Identify project supply and equipment needs and convey to the appropriate resource to ensure availability.
  • Develop client relationships through excellent customer service and ensure client requests are conveyed to the appropriate PCI management resource.
  • Complete timesheets and expense reports weekly with accurate labor and expense codes.
  • Maintain a neat and professional PCI work area and project a professional image at all times.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of Traceability, Substitution of Standards, and Test Accuracy.
  • Skilled with pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical instrumentation, as well as manual and computer-based process control loops and systems.
  • Ability to climb stairs, climb on equipment, and moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Understanding and awareness of safety requirements and safe practices.
  • General electrical panel knowledge and electrical safety procedures.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Reliable, confident, eager to learn, and enjoy working with people.

Education and Experience:

A two-year degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or other related technical field, or equivalent military training or two years of applicable experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
