About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Astec Industries. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machine tools to produce high-precision parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts and components
  • Set up and maintain machine tools to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and production management to resolve machining and programming issues
  • Assist with directing work activities of support staff as needed

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years' experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills
  • Machinist technical certification through an accredited college
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and bills of material
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply concepts to practical situations
