About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at River Bend Golf & Country Club. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our members have a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up the bar area for meal periods and events, restocking and replenishing inventory and supplies as needed.
  • Greet members with a smile, provide menus, and explain specials, including wine program details.
  • Take beverage and food orders on iPads and deliver food and beverages accurately to each table.
  • Monitor beverages and refresh them as needed, as well as attend to any additional member needs throughout the meal.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, local, and club laws and policies relating to the service of alcohol, including checking for proper member identification and confirming legal drinking age.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of proper food service techniques.
  • Knowledge of laws and policies regarding the service of alcohol in Virginia.
  • Prior fine dining experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and cleaned.
  • A knowledge of a variety of wine is a plus.
  • Must maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for a majority of a shift.
  • Ability to carry 25-lb trays as needed.
  • Reliable transportation.
