Position Overview

The Compensation Specialist plays a vital role in the formulation, execution, management, and communication of compensation initiatives at Bronson. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth analyses and generating recommendations that align with our compensation objectives. Additionally, this role guarantees that our compensation practices remain competitive and fair, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, communicates, and oversees organization-wide wage and salary programs.
  • Conducts complex analyses to propose new compensation initiatives or enhance existing ones. Collects and interprets data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborates with leadership on job evaluations and the creation of job descriptions. Analyzes both internal and external data to ensure recommendations are competitive and equitable. Educates management on the findings and implications of the analysis.
  • Provides compensation guidance for new hires, promotions, and demotions. Monitors new hire activities, status changes, bonus recommendations, and special requests to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Works alongside HRIS to implement Workday functionalities and enhancements. Assists in preparing and processing payments within Workday.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources (preferably in healthcare or service organizations) as a Compensation Analyst/Specialist.
  • Must be available for onsite engagements quarterly.
  • Experience with Compensation Management systems such as Workday and PayFactors, along with strong Excel skills.
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical abilities are essential for effectively gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and policies, identifying complex issues, and developing actionable plans for positive outcomes.
  • Proven proficiency in creating comprehensive spreadsheets and word processing, with expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and preferably Workday.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for drafting correspondence, writing policies and procedures, developing communication tools, and providing regular reports as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to establish effective systems and processes.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills are essential for engaging with all levels of management and internal/external clients in sensitive situations and delivering effective formal presentations.
  • The role involves tasks that may lead to mental and visual fatigue, including interactive and repetitive work that requires sustained attention to detail.
  • The position entails some physical demands typical of roles that involve regular walking, standing, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting of light objects.
