Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Construction team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and commercial design, with excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs for construction projects using specialized computer software.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure designs are feasible and within budget.
  • Oversee the entire design process from initial concept to final execution.
  • Ensure all design projects comply with regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure the project is in line with the design.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and project specifications.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their design needs and preferences.
  • Identify potential design improvements and offer creative solutions to complex design problems.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and software.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience in commercial construction design.
