Job Summary:

The Cost Accountant position is responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial reports related to manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trend analysis and variance reports.
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies between production and accounting data.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inventory levels through periodic cycle counts and variance research.
  • Prepare and maintain standard cost estimates.
  • Assist in the completion of the month-end close process, including journal entries and KPI reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Cost accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience. This is an in-office position.
