Key Responsibilities:
This role involves the strategic planning, programming, and development of healthcare departments within extensive and intricate medical facilities.

Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of project components (e.g., departments, floors, etc.).


Facilitate and manage client/user expectations by organizing and leading user meetings for needs assessment, which will inform the creation of functional and spatial programs.


Accountable for articulating and conveying the client's vision, objectives, and goals through the development of the project work plan during the planning phase.

Participate in client presentations and project meetings, providing guidance to team members and consultants, and begin engaging with senior-level client groups.


Support the production team in generating documents that reflect the owner's aspirations and align with project objectives, planning parameters, and program intent.

Be available to the Construction Administration team to address clinically significant inquiries and offer solutions. Oversee the review process of shop drawings to ensure adherence to design intent.

May provide mentorship to junior planning team members.

Travel to client locations may be required based on client needs.

Qualifications:
Experience


A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in planning, programming, and developing healthcare departments within large, complex medical facilities is essential.

A broad range of experience with inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, and academic medical facilities is required. Experience with multiple clients is preferred.


Comprehensive knowledge of codes and standards applicable to healthcare facilities, including local regulations, State, IBC, ADA, ANSI, NFPA, FGI Guidelines, and specialty-specific standards is necessary.

Software

Proficiency in Revit is required.

Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.

Education

An associate's degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field is required; a degree in architecture is preferred.

Professional registration is preferred.

Sustainability accreditation is preferred.
