About This Opportunity:
The Society for College and University Planning is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as an Assistant Director, Black Student Center. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of Black students and contribute to the success of our institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee student programs, services, and initiatives that promote academic success, leadership development, and community engagement.
- Design and implement programs that support Black student retention, academic success, and professional growth.
- Foster meaningful engagement opportunities through events, orientations, and campus activities.
- Provide mentorship, advocacy, and direct student support to address challenges and connect students with critical resources.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least three (3) years of professional experience in student services or a related area.
- Experience advising students individually and in groups on academic, career, and personal success.
- Strong awareness of the cultural diversity of university communities and ability to develop inclusive programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, digital communication platforms, and student information systems.
