Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a MedSurg and ED Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in both the Medical-Surgical unit and the Emergency Department.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. This amount includes base pay, benefits, and other forms of compensation.

Job Description:

Your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent patient care in the Medical-Surgical unit and the Emergency Department. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures. In addition, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

In the Medical-Surgical unit, your duties will include:
  • Completing daily patient assessments
  • Passing medications
  • Monitoring IV drips
  • Monitoring telemetry
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Daily rounding with the interdisciplinary team
  • Assisting with patient transfers when necessary

And in the Emergency Department, your responsibilities will include:
  • Patient assessments
  • Medication administration
  • Assisting providers with procedures (intubation, chest tubes, central lines)
  • Assisting with patient transfers
  • Admissions and discharges


Equipment and Technology:

We utilize Centriq electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems in both units. These advanced technologies enable efficient and accurate care delivery.

Requirements:

To qualify for this role, you must have at least two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. You should possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

You will also need to hold current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Floating and Teamwork:

You will be working in both the Medical-Surgical unit and the Emergency Department. Your ability to adapt to changing situations and work effectively with others will be essential to your success in this role.
