Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers in ophthalmology to ensure access to current medical and scientific information on our products.
- Present Data and Information: Present data on our products to healthcare professionals, including physicians, academic institutions, researchers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support Research Initiatives: Support research initiatives as requested by our R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs Departments.
- Internal Resource: Serve as an internal medical and scientific resource to our assigned therapeutic areas for the development of disease-state and product communications and materials that are medically accurate, balanced, and consistent with regulatory guidelines.
- Training and Development: Conduct ongoing training to medical affairs, field sales, and other internal personnel as directed.
- Expense Management: Responsible for maintaining annual expenses within assigned budget parameters.
- Documentation: Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of above activities.
- Advanced Degree: Advanced degree with a health science background (Pharm.D, M.D., OD, Ph.D, preferred).
- MSL Experience: 2+ years of MSL experience with ophthalmology (Dry Eye Disease experience a plus).
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of applicable pharmaceutical industry legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software skills.
- Communication Skills: Conveys information clearly, using a variety of media, to individuals and groups.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills.
- Presentation Skills: Strong presentation and teaching skills.
- Clinical and Technical Skills: Ability to convey clinical and non-clinical technical information effectively.
- Audience Engagement: Ability to engage the audience and help them understand and retain information.
