Job Summary

W A Kendall and Company LLC is seeking a skilled Tree Trimmer Specialist to join our team. As an Aerial Arborist, you will be responsible for trimming, pruning, and removing trees with the aid of a bucket truck or other equipment or tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tree Trimming and Pruning: Safely trim and prune trees to maintain a clear path for utility lines and ensure public safety.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used in daily operations, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Storm Work: Perform duties for storm work as needed, including clearing and trimming trees and brush away from utility lines.
  • Team Collaboration: Be ready and willing to assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Safety Protocols: Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe job practices, keeping the work area clean and orderly, and staying in frequent voice communication with co-workers.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred; previous aerial lift experience preferred.
  • Education: High School diploma or education equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all knots, ropes, and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations. Must be able to identify tree species and work and maneuver at considerable heights under varying and adverse weather conditions.
