Job Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services. The responsibilities include:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to gather current symptoms and detailed medical histories.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and assess patient care plans.
  • Triage Management: Perform triage considering both physical and psychosocial factors.
  • Basic Life Support: Manage basic life support needs and stabilize patients until the attending physician arrives.
  • Monitoring: Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring equipment readings that indicate adverse symptoms.
  • Vital Signs: Accurately record patients' vital signs.
  • Assistance: Assist physicians during examinations, diagnostic tests, and treatments.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer prescribed medications, documenting all actions appropriately.
  • IV Therapy: Provide intravenous therapy as needed.
  • Patient Education: Develop and implement patient education plans as directed by physicians.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism while managing multiple urgent tasks.
  • Documentation: Ensure all care information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.
  • Travel Experience: Highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in GE equipment and general ultrasound, including breast imaging.
  • Licensure: Must hold ARDMS certification and BLS (AHA) certification.
  • References: Provide two supervisory reference forms from the last two years.
  • Profile Requirements: Submit a work history and a skills checklist current within the last year.
Additional Information

This position requires candidates to have a valid Michigan state license and entails weekend work every other weekend, with no on-call responsibilities.
