Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Assistant I/Health Unit Coordinator (CNA) to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Duke Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients, as well as assisting with ambulation and other activities of daily living.
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
  • Operate the organization's patient care information system, including documenting patient data and reporting changes in patient condition.
  • Transport patients and equipment as needed.
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including preparing and maintaining patient charts and uploading paper documents into the electronic medical record.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Level I - Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or successful completion of the NC-approved Nurse Aide I competency test.
  • Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant (NAI) with the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation.
  • AHA Basic Healthcare provider certification must be maintained/completed by the end of the new hire orientation.
