Safety Internship Program Overview
The Walsh Group is seeking Safety Interns for our projects in Chicago, IL and Racine, WI. Our internship program will provide you with hands-on experience in project engineering and field management, preparing you for leadership positions both on and off the jobsite. You will have the opportunity to travel across the United States and through operational divisions, gaining a deeper understanding of our company's safety programs and policies.
Responsibilities:
* Participate in field safety walks to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with company safety policies
* Assist the on-site safety manager with first-day safety orientations for new employees, ensuring they understand our safety protocols and procedures
* Complete accident and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner
* Oversee the safety and health of personnel working on company jobsites, ensuring a safe working environment
* Collaborate with the safety manager to coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors, ensuring our safety policies and procedures are understood and implemented
Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree is preferred
* Ability to work a 12-week work schedule
* Specific roles may require relocation
