What You'll Do

As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging environment for campers, leading activities, and building positive relationships with campers and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a place for campers to have fun, learn, explore, and make new friends
  • Leading a group of campers in the Y camp program
  • Assisting team members with planning events
  • Promoting good personal relationships
  • Planning and leading activities
  • Supporting a safe and healthy environment for all campers
  • Interacting with campers at all times, participating in activities alongside them

You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualities:

  • Ability to work well with children and adults
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 35 pounds
  • Visual acuity to observe all children
