Railroad Project Manager

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Railroad Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our safety services team, you will be responsible for providing jobsite coordination, clear and concise communication with dispatchers, train crews, and other railroad personnel, and enforcing all railroad, state, and federal policies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide jobsite coordination and ensure compliance with all railroad, state, and federal policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, train crews, and other railroad personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Enforce contractor training requirements and ensure all personnel are properly trained and equipped.
- Submit daily field reports detailing contractor and/or railroad activities.
- Provide on-track safety in accordance with 49 CFR 214 federal regulations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with a Class 1 Railroad, Regional Short Line, Transit System, State DOT Rail Division, Railroad Supplier, Railroad Contractor, and/or Railroad Consultant.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong technical knowledge in railroad engineering, railroad design, railroad construction, and safety.
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time and work in a field environment.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
