**Job Summary**

We are seeking a Home Health Support Specialist to join our team at Ambercare. This is a rewarding position that provides consistent, flexible hours to accommodate your personal needs while offering a great career with a growing industry leader.

About the Position

You will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of quality home care and deliver life-changing service to your clients. You will assist with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and help maintain the client's independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow specific care plans for clients and report on completed tasks.
  • Assist with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
  • Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
  • Administer medications and assist with medical procedures.
  • Monitor client's health and report any changes to supervisors.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Able to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Competencies

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be clear on the California Home Health Aide Registry.
  • Must complete 5 hours of annual training.
  • Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver's license and proof of insurance are required.
  • Nurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for others.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $18 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth. We offer a range of benefits, including health benefits with no minimum hours required to qualify in the first year.
