Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A to join our team at NEW CARROT FARMS LLC. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Manager in preparing monthly business review presentations, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and KPI reporting for Agriculture costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation and development of monthly business reviews, board meeting presentations, KPI reporting, and investor requests.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop annual budgets and intra-year forecasting.
  • Support the Ag and Operations components of monthly and annual projections/budgets.
  • Articulate variance drivers against budget, prior year, and/or prior forecast; identify risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with functional leaders to drive quantitative recommendations and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop projections and forecasts.
  • Prepare, review, and submit financial and cost reports and statements to management.
  • Assist the company with ongoing general business functions.
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risk.
  • Define or recommend financial models through benchmarking and process analysis.
  • Prepare cost projections.
  • Compare anticipated and actual results to identify areas of improvement.
  • Interpret and analyze results of financial analysis.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or related field.
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in finance/accounting roles.
  • Strong work ethic and analytical proficiency, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills with commitment to achieving quality results.
  • Ability to understand strategic impact on the wider business and yet operate at a detailed tactical level.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications, such as ERP and EPM financial applications.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agriculture or CPG experience a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CFA/CPA) is a plus.
