Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team at SimonComputing, Inc.

This role will involve working on mission-critical projects for the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The ideal candidate will have expertise in systems, software, cloud, and Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, debug, and maintain software products to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile SCRUM methodology and SAFe to deliver features that enhance system capabilities.
  • Mentor junior developers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in sprint demonstrations, retrospectives, and implementation of agreed-upon ideas.
  • Work with product teams to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Communicate technical challenges, options considered, and recommended solutions to senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, along with 12 years of relevant experience, or 10-13 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • US citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain a CBP BI public trust clearance.
  • A minimum of 10 years of software development experience in an Agile/SecDevOps environment, with proven ability to deliver on commitments.
  • Experience with technologies like Oracle, SQL, Java, HTML5/JavaScript, Spring MVC, Struts, JSF, Weblogic, OpenShift Container Platform, JDBC, MyBATIS, Hibernate, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with system-to-system interfaces such as Web Services (SOAP and REST), IBM MQ, Kafka, S/FTP.
  • Familiarity with DevOps frameworks and proficiency in tools like Confluence, Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and JUnit.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and experience working with other developers to design and implement solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office Products.
  • Ability to work remotely on a temporary basis.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
