We are currently in search of candidates for the GROUND OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN role. The successful applicant will be engaged in a variety of labor and operational tasks within the quarry and crushing facility. Responsibilities will include assisting in material movement, stockpiling, maintenance, and clean-up of the plant, along with supporting various production functions. A strong commitment to safety standards is essential.

POSITION DETAILS:

Full-Time Day Shift Starting Wages at $21.50/hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct general labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assisting with plant operations. Perform maintenance tasks, including cutting, welding, and changing rollers & bearings, as well as belt splicing. Operate various equipment as required, such as bobcats, skid steers, and haul trucks. Receive training in multiple production roles and fill in as necessary during absences or increased demand. Manage dust control on roadways using a water truck. Report and identify equipment issues to management; assist in maintaining the quarry and its machinery. Complete daily inspections and pre-shift reports for equipment as needed. Provide assistance to colleagues as directed. Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong focus on safety excellence. Ability to perform a range of tasks, including plant clean-up, production, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation. Previous experience in welding and cutting is preferred. Experience operating heavy machinery such as bobcats, skid steers, and haul trucks. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Quick learner with the ability to understand safety and work instructions. Willingness to work weekends and overtime as required. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Experience in plant maintenance is advantageous. Familiarity with aggregate operations is a plus.
