Job Title: Plant Maintenance Mechanic

Buffalo Rock is seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our Corporate Maintenance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support by repairing and maintaining machinery and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain machinery and electrical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Run conduit, pull wire, and terminate connections for equipment.
  • Perform work at height with proper fall protection PPE.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Start devices to test their performance.
  • Lubricate and clean parts.
  • May initiate purchase requests for parts and machines.
  • Observe operation of equipment to determine if problems with equipment or operator.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of Manufacturing Maintenance experience.
  • At least one (1) year of Industrial Electrician experience.
  • Multi-Craft Industrial experience preferred.
  • PLC experience preferred.
Work Environment:

Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.

Physical Demands:

The position requires standing, walking, sitting, manually manipulating, grasping, reaching outward, reaching above shoulder, speaking, climbing, crawling, squatting or kneeling, and bending.

  • Sense of Sound - Hearing is required from 2/3 to a full workday.
  • Sense of Touch
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - eye protection, burning glasses
  • Sense of Balance
