Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Door Attendant to join our team at Goodwill-West Texas. As a key member of our donation processing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that donations are processed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
  • Safely assist donors with unloading and accepting items, utilizing transport equipment as needed and seeking assistance from colleagues when required.
  • Accurately document donations and provide receipts in accordance with Goodwill's Delight the Donor training.
  • Interact with the public and colleagues in a positive, friendly manner, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Clean and sort various items, ensuring they are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Check items for defects and eliminate them from sellable items, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Utilize containers, carts, barrels, and racks to separate items, ensuring they are processed correctly.
  • Process items appropriately, adhering to Goodwill's guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing waste and ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a positive experience for donors.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independently, as well as maneuver carts and containers filled with clothing and materials.
  • Good vision and use of hands in sorting, with the ability to stoop and bend as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, with some weekend work required.
