Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain press brakes to produce finished goods and support assembly departments.
  • Coordinate workflow scheduling using the Work Center Dispatch Report.
  • Assist press brake operators with set-ups, questions, and workload responsibilities.
  • Ensure operators are adequately trained and equipped to perform work safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate work status, workload, problems, and progress to the Operations Manager.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on first articles, new projects, and other initiatives.
  • Read and interpret drawings, follow routers, and perform basic calculations.
  • Operate, install tooling, and set up mechanical or pneumatic press brakes.
  • Perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection using calipers and basic measuring tools.
  • Comply with quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
  • Update computer records and paperwork according to production requirements.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on press brake as required.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow safety procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, and perform basic calculations.
  • Ability to operate, install tooling, and set up mechanical or pneumatic press brakes.
  • Ability to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection using calipers and basic measuring tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
