Med-Surg RN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Med-Surg RN to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Med-Surg RN, you will be responsible for delivering individualized care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures, as well as those being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications, and record patient medical information and vital signs.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures and provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
  • Initiate patient education plans, as prescribed by physicians, and teach patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board.
  • Minimum of one (1) year Med/Surge experience but will consider a new grad.
  • Current and active CPR certification.
