Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs)

• Administer medications as per physician directives
• Execute physician-ordered treatments including:
  • Nutritional support via feeding tubes
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Suctioning (nasal, oral, and/or endotracheal)
  • Ventilation management
  • Seizure monitoring and intervention

Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs)

• Valid and active Florida RN or LPN license
• Current BLS CPR certification (in-person training required)
• Experience with G-tubes, tracheostomy, and ventilation, or willingness to learn
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
• Completion of a 2-hour DOEA approved Alzheimer's training course (provided at no cost if needed)
• Access to a 1-hour DOEA Alzheimer's educational video (available free online)
