Key Responsibilities- Oversee the Corporate Compliance and Privacy Programs, ensuring that all aspects of the organization are in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Monitor and report on the results of compliance and ethics efforts, providing guidance to the Board of Directors and senior management team.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies, ensuring that all necessary reports and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the organization are in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Certification as an RHIA or RHIT, with education and experience relative to the size and scope of the organization.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare organization or related field, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- 7 years of extensive experience in the practical application of HIPAA Privacy rules and regulations, as well as federal and state identity theft rules and regulations.
