Research Assistant - Cannabis Genome Editing

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Research Assistant to contribute to our innovative projects in cannabis genome editing. This role is essential for advancing research and development efforts in the field of cannabis cultivation and genetics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute plant tissue culture procedures and gather data
  • Work collaboratively within a research team
  • Support the establishment of tissue culture and transformation protocols
  • Engage in genomic research and molecular diagnostic testing
  • Specific Duties Include:
    • Overseeing laboratory operations and managing research supplies
    • Preparing media and conducting genome editing
    • Cloning plasmids and developing assays
    • Analyzing data and organizing project workflows

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in plant tissue culture, genetics, and molecular biology
  • Previous laboratory experience
