Role Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Epicor Support Specialist to enhance our IT department. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering technical assistance, resolving issues, and providing guidance to users of the Epicor ERP platform. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the effective functioning and enhancement of Epicor processes, thereby supporting our organizational objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
- User Assistance & Training: Deliver prompt and effective support to users, addressing concerns related to Epicor functionalities, workflows, and system performance.
- System Management: Aid in the setup, upkeep, and surveillance of the Epicor ERP system, including user account management, permissions, and security configurations.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and rectify technical challenges within the Epicor environment, such as connectivity issues, data discrepancies, and system errors.
- Customization & Enhancement: Collaborate with the development team to tailor and improve Epicor modules to align with business needs, including the creation and modification of dashboards, reports, and operational processes.
- Documentation: Keep comprehensive records of support activities, system settings, and troubleshooting methods.
- System Updates: Assist in the planning, testing, and execution of Epicor system upgrades, patches, and new releases.
- Integration Assistance: Partner with other IT and business units to ensure smooth integration of Epicor with additional enterprise systems, such as CRM, MES, and financial applications.
- Data Oversight: Ensure data integrity within Epicor, including data imports, exports, and backup procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for system and process enhancements, and propose solutions to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that all Epicor-related activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in an Epicor support role or a similar ERP environment.
- Solid understanding of Epicor modules (e.g., Financials, Manufacturing, Supply Chain).
- Experience with SQL and other database management tools.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Epicor ERP system, including configuration, customization, and administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management methodologies.
- Knowledge of business processes in manufacturing, finance, and distribution.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epicor Certification(s).
- Experience with Epicor version 10 or later.
- Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Experience with BI tools and reporting functionalities in Epicor.
