Certified Medical Assistant

Lancaster General Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at Family Medicine Norlanco in Elizabethtown, PA. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for visits, administering injections, and providing gross observations to providers. They will also assist with various procedures, minor surgeries, and exams as designated by the provider. Additionally, the CMA will perform Point of Care Testing, remove sutures, and change dressings as necessary. They will also provide clinical advice by phone/electronic correspondence and authorize prescription refills as directed by the provider.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) and Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution. You will also need to have CPR Certification and be a healthcare provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs. Preferred qualifications include one to two years of Medical Assistant experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office.
