Veterinary Receptionist

The Veterinary Receptionist is a key member of our team at Blaine Family Veterinary Hospital, providing exceptional client service and support to our clients and their pets. As the first and last point of contact for our clients, you will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming experience for all who visit our hospital.

• Client Service: Greet clients and pets by name with a smile and a positive attitude, providing a solution-oriented approach to meet their needs.
• Communication: Answer phones promptly and professionally, responding to client inquiries about animal care, routine procedures, and veterinary services.
• Scheduling: Schedule appointments and surgeries according to hospital guidelines, making confirmation calls and ensuring accurate records.
• Financial Management: Enter accurate charges, explain invoices, and collect payment for services rendered.
• Client Support: Provide routine administration instructions, advise on flea/tick preventatives, heartworm preventatives, and other retail items.

• Commitment to Excellence: Demonstrated commitment to our hospital's core values and mission statement.
• Technical Skills: Computer knowledge, keyboarding, and use of communication tools.
• Veterinary Terminology: Working knowledge of veterinary terminology, including pronunciation, spelling, and meaning.
• Communication Skills: Excellent spelling and grammar, with the ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult situations.
